My name is Dixio Simiao Isaias, a first-year medical student at the Catholic University of Mozambique. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity I have to study with a Doctor for Mozambique (DFM) scholarship. My preparatory year was good; I managed to acquire a lot of knowledge to advance with the course. My immense gratitude to the doctors who support us, Dr. Gitta and Dr. Harry.

My name is Dixio Simiao, I was born on June 30, 2006 in the province of Manica, Gondola district in Inchope. I started studying in 2013 at the Mucuzi 2 primary school. I lived with my parents. I did not fail during primary and secondary education. I completed secondary education at the Cristo Rei secondary school in Gorongosa, Sofala province, at my brother’s house. I started secondary education in 2020.
I completed secondary education in 2024.
I have 5 siblings, 2 of whom are men and 3 are women.
