Number of students
The chart below shows how many students Doctors for Mozambique Foundation supports financially. This has obviously been made possible by the many donations we have received. In 2023, we supported a total of 35 students. In 2023, 8 students graduated and received their degrees. No new scholarship students were admitted in 2023. Eight new students started their propaedeutic year in February 2024.

The graph below shows by year the numbers of students financially supported by Doctors for Mozambique, from its inception. The academic year in Mozambique runs concurrently with a calendar year. The decline in students is due to the increased number of students who graduated in 2022 because they were delayed due to the coronapandemic.

We are fortunate to have a good number of medical graduates and graduates of the higher nursing programme. The chart below shows the number of graduates by academic year, as well as the cumulative number. Again, this does not distinguish on an annual basis between the university’s medical and higher nursing courses. However, it can be said that of the total of 43 graduates, 34 graduated as doctors and 9 as higher nurses.
