To our great sorrow, one of our former students Francisco Gomate, recently passed away after a short illness.
Francisco graduated with us as a senior nurse in 2022.
As a tribute to Francisco, we publish his last letter, which he wrote to Doctors for Mozambique.

My name is Francisco Fernando Gomate. I’m 26 years old. In 2022 I graduated as a senior nurse at the Catholic University of Mozambique at the Faculty of Health Science being a member of Doctor For Mozambique Foundation. I come to express my gratitude to all donors of the Foundation DFM for the financial help you gave me during my studies.
I also want to thank my advisors Dra. Gitta and Dr. Harry. But also Dra. Ana Maria, Dra. Leny and everyone for having helped me and for the motivation they gave me that made me stronger, all this they did with patience and sympathy until I concluded my professional study. Feel free to congratulate all those responsible for this Foundation.
