I am writing this letter to share a little about my history and academic journey.

My name is Manuel da Guida Manuel, son of Eusébio Felisberto Zunguze and Guida

Manuel Simango, born on March 21, 2008, in Inhambane Province, Govuro District,

Nova Mambone locality.

I come from a family of six: my father, my mother, and three siblings. I am the eldest

child.

As extracurricular activities, I enjoy watching movies and soap operas, preferably

Indian ones, reading the Bible, attending church, and helping my family with

household chores.

I grew up far from my biological father, as he had his own family before meeting my

mother. She supported me by reselling clothing from people who offered her jobs.

Despite being a single mother, she always had the support of her mother and

provided me with assistance, from educational and protective to emotional support,

so that the absence of a father figure would not affect me. In 2018, my mother and

my current father met.

I studied at two public schools, namely: Escola Básica das Palmeiras, where I

completed grades 1 through 7 (from 2014 to 2020), and Escola Secundaria de

Doane, where I completed grades 8 through 12 (from 2021 to 2025). Fortunately, I

never had to interrupt my studies for any reason, despite some challenges and

obstacles I faced.

Thank God, despite the challenges faced, my mother was someone who always

encouraged me to study, and I always had good academic performance.

I take this opportunity to extend greetings to the Doctors For Mozambique

Foundation and extended family, and to thank them for the opportunity and honor of

being a part of this wonderful family.

Sincerely,

Manuel da Guida Manuel
