I am writing this letter to share a little about my story.
My name is Salinda Samissone Mucora Macuiana, and I was born on February 19, 2007, in Sofala Province, Chibabava District, in Muchungwe. I currently live with my parents and my four siblings—one sister and three brothers. I am the third child in the family.
I started my studies in Messica, where I attended 1st grade in 2013. From 2014 to 2019, I studied at Gungunhana Primary School (1st and 2nd Level), where I completed 2nd to 7th grade. Since 2015, I have been selling bread to help my parents, as they used to bake bread, and after school, I would go out to sell it. This has been part of my routine until today. Later, in addition to selling bread, I also started selling cabbage and peppers since we always grew our own food.
From 2020 to 2024, I attended 8th to 12th grade, in Teresa Amuli-Espungabera secondary school. During 10th grade, I faced some health problems, which made my studies difficult. However, with medical treatment and faith in God, I was able to recover and complete secondary school.
This is a part of my journey, marked by challenges, effort, and determination.
Sincerely,
Salinda Samissone Mucora Macuiana
